2026

At the threshold of 2026, the Schwarz Group (Lidl and Kaufland) presented its climate targets approved by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) to the public.

They are very ambitious and require close cooperation not only within the Group, but also throughout the supply chain. We encourage you to read the article describing these relationships, which appeared in The last addition of the Republic of Poland on. ESG. The text also outlines the actions that the business should take to meet the expectations of the Schwarz Group.

The group has established short-term reductions and until 2050 (Net-Zero). Emissions are to be reduced in all ranges, which means that Lidl and Kaufland suppliers must be involved. The network's largest partners have already been informed about the Group's expectations of setting and validating their own climate targets in line with the SBTi methodology. This process should be closed by the end of 2026 (by the end of February 2027 for the Lidl network).
