Energy modeling of buildings

We will carry out analyses related to the energy modeling of the building. We will show you what the energy consumption of a property looks like broken down by systems. We will indicate possible modernizations that will reduce the energy consumption of the facility and financial savings.

Why is energy modeling of buildings used?

Creating a 3D model of a building with specialized software can contribute to a better understanding of the flow of heat and cooling energy in a building. Appropriate simulation of the external environmental and internal conditions prevailing in the building shows its energy requirements necessary to maintain appropriate temperature and humidity conditions.

Based on the energy modeling of the building, we show what the energy consumption of the building looks like broken down by systems. We present calculations related to the energy intensity of the facility, prospects for reducing energy demand based on specific upgrades and real financial benefits resulting from the proposed solutions.

Importantly, the thermal, humidity and air flow conditions are analyzed, related to the thermal comfort that must be provided to people staying in buildings.

Various computer programs can be used to carry out energy calculations in the building, depending on the preferred functionalities and the degree of advancement. The most popular solutions on the market are Auditor OZC, Arcadia Termocad or IES VE.

It is worth noting that it is possible to model not only objects already built. In the case of a non-existent building, the analysis of its thermal model and the assumption of parameters of use of the object depending on the presence of users in it can show which elements of the building have been designed correctly and which should be modified.

How is energy modeling of buildings carried out?

1

Execution of a local vision in the facility - knowledge of building construction technology, building systems and possible operational problems.

1

Acquaintance with the available technical documentation of the building and obtaining the missing data.

1

Preparation of a building model in 3D.

1

Presentation of recommendations to reduce the energy consumption of the building.

1

Preparation of a final report containing detailed results and technical solutions for reducing energy consumption.

Do you have any questions? We have the answers!

The basis is the technical documentation of the building. Based on it, a 3D model of the building is created and parameters related to thermal comfort and use of the building are introduced.

Yes. A local vision at the facility is required to verify the applied solutions in the heating and cooling systems. In addition, the local vision is used to get acquainted with the ways of using the building.

First of all, knowledge of the functioning of the building and the energy demand of the relevant system in the facility. This allows us to identify the most energy-intensive areas and propose solutions that will lead to a reduction in energy demand and thus financial savings.
